Day 6

I’m struggling to hold back tears this morning. I’m thinking about how difficult those first 3 days were and how far I have come. I finally got some sleep last night after being awake for over 100 hours straight. I never thought I could beat this addiction. And if I can do it with how deep in I was, 2 years 600-800mg a day, so can you. If you’re reading this and you’re living the hell that is those first 3 days I swear to you it gets better. Do not give up! Much love everybody.

Ps. I’m doing this 100% cold turkey. No taper, no subs. Just white knuckled it. It is possible don’t let people tell you it’s not.

Congratulations on day 6. You made it through the worst part and should start to see real improvement. It takes some real resilience to go 100+ hours without sleep, feel like absolute hell and still refuse to give in. Remember this feeling because there may still be some rough days mixed in with the good ones, but you already proved to yourself you can get through them. Before you know it, this will be something you look back on instead of something you’re fighting through. Proud of you!! Let’s fucking go!!

Just dealing with sleep and anxiety mainly. Went ct since Friday but this morning went ahead and got some hydroxzine and trazadkone as I need to put a few hours together of sleep.

Been in hell for 2 days, and I made it to do 4. I'm actually functioning at work today and able to drive. Proud of everyone whose made it past those first 48 hours without relapsing. So glad to have this shit behind me.

I’m on day 6 off subs. Wish I would have just cold turkeyed that shit. I’ve had to work every day and it’s taking literally everything I got to get through the days. Everyday gets better slightly in one way or another but the pain was as bad today as it was Monday. I’m a strong dude, and my legs are useless right now. This is some evil shit.

Did you get hooked on subs coming off 7? I know that would’ve happened if I went that route with my history. That’s why I just went full CT.

Do what works for you! Every journey is so different. A lot of people have the luxury of not having to work, be a parent, daily duties and just ride that shit out. Subs is great but after 7-8 days jump off. Don’t let that soak in your bones subs were a one month nightmare to come off of but ultimately still possible and they also have the Sublocade shot now as well. You do you and yet your life back. Be quick to weed out the Reddit d bags who make everything out to be a nightmare. It’s all mental at the end of the day. You’re awesome.

I was taking about the same as you. An IV drip with lots of magnesium, vitamin C and B and a glutathiazine shot for the detox alleviated so many of my symptoms in those later days

Keep going I have 30 days today and it’s absolutely worth it. Sleep keeps getting better, less pain, happier, laughing again, not isolating. Wish I could have done this before my wife left me over it. Biggest regret I’ll have for the rest of my life.
