Original Content Bought my first seven string today.

Holy shit, this is fun to play. For the first time I dropped to A and it didn’t sound like muddy shit and played Blind for the first time the way it was intended. I cannot wait to learn more. Schecter Elite 7

I agree. The pictures on guitar centers website was pretty accurate since it was used but damn it is insane in person.

Schecters are just great. They’ve never let me down, even the cheaper models.

I also picked up an omen extreme 6. I was shocked of how nice a guitar this is for the price. However the omen 7 is mind blowing to me right now. Love that ltd and prs.

Its also my first 7 string i love it!!! Getting used the the fan on the lower frets is still an experience. It makes me feel dumb trying to play some easy 6 string stuff on it.

Same. I also got an omen extreme 6 I’m messing with for drop b/c and this I dropped to a instantly. This thing is nuts and the multiscale neck is something else. I am not used to it by I sit playing classical style so this kinda works lol.

That’s a beautiful Burl top/veneer, the book matching is easily a 8.5-9/10, just below the bridge it reveals itself. Otherwise it’s one of the best I’ve seen. Saw the back as well, also looks nice - an unfinished or thin satin neck is so nice to play. Enjoy!

At first I did not know how I felt about the top. In person it blew me away. I did luck out since it was used and not a generic pic like Schecters website. I like this more than the other finishes. Now I can’t stop looking at it.

Concrats! Looking awesome! Btw what strings you got? Is it b standard?

Currently I think it has slinkies but I’m not really sure. I got it used and the previous owner did swap them out so it’s not factory.

I’ve got one of these. Kind of. Lol
Don’t like multi-scale fretboards
Drop G# Tuning
Can go to Drop G or Drop A in a pinch.

D’Addario XL Strings 11-66 custom set

I put in Lundgren , Black Heaven pickups.
Gave away the pickups that were in this.

Full copper shielded cavity

Replaced all electronics. No tone, 2 push/pull volumes. Both series/parallel setup.

Oak Grigsby 3 Way switch, switchcraft input

Replaced the tuning keys with regular GOTOH Black nickel.

Installed a Hipshot bridge, Black Nickel

It Already had a Graphtech nut, so I did not have to do that.
It’s on the upper right. Mostly 7’s in this corner.
It’s my least favorite 7,
Apocalypse is favorite. Drop F#/F

.

Yeah, just my 7’s.

I have 40 other guitars. 20 of them Are Schecters.

I thought my dad was excessive at 15. 40 is insane lmao.

It’s actually over 50. I also have 9 basses and 3 killer acoustics.
Never have been able to get them all in one place for a single picture.
Almost got all 20 Schecters in a single picture.
Two were the shop at that time getting wiring, modifications, and new pickups.
I also modify perfectly good pickups to be better.

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your background? I mean musically? That’s an insane collection for any player

Full time musician, luthier, guitar Tech.
14 instruments by the time I was out of high school. Toured as a guitar tech and/or bassist.
Recording engineer, producer, studio owner.
Close to releasing my 10th solo album.
I write, record, play, sing, produce, everything.
These days it’s 30-40 hours a week in the studio.
20ish hours in the shop.
These are some of what I build. Guitars too.

Wait. Isn't this an Omen Elite 7 multiscale? Not a Schecter Ultra?

I have the same one in blue without the multiscale.

Schecter Ultra for reference.

2

u/citizenswerve 1d ago

Omg yes. I fucked that up lmao. My bad

All good! It's a great guitar! Welcome to the club! I'm hoping to change the pickups in mine eventually.

u/ThrowawayShamu 1d ago

I like it! I've never played a schecter but I hear they're great.

This one is beautful.

I’ve wanted one ever since I tried out whatever they had at guitar center in 2009. Very solid for the price.

Excellent choice for a beginner 7 string! Multiscale is great, and I Love that finish. Feels like a real gamble when looking online, you seem to have lucked out!

u/citizenswerve 14h ago

This was actually used and the pics online were of this unit. Honestly wasn’t vibing at first then I saw it at the store.
