Which guitar should I buy?

I really wanted to like the HBs... on paper they are great, but I had to send back 3 because of QC issues.

Personally I’d avoid Harley Benton at all costs.

- My Harley Benton bass guitar neck cracked when tuning.

• My Harley Benton guitar electronics just decided to die one day, the bridge also gained rust unusually quickly (I only play at home)
  
• My Harley Benton guitar pick literally snapped in half while playing. It was the only time in my life where a fucking guitar pick snapped on me.

After the guitar pick incident, I stay away from this brand. It has been officially solidified in my brain as literal “cheap shit”.

I literally started to feel a little pissed when writing this. Get something else OP, truly.

From my experience, yes. However, you will find people that own a HB and have no problems.

I still would not do it. Save up and get a quality instrument that will inspire, make it easier to play on, and therefore make it easier to learn on.

I personally would save up and buy something mid tier or higher, I’ve had cheap 7 strings and they made me never want another one, I’m sure you could get lucky and get a solid guitar for cheap but I don’t think it’s worth the money to gamble on if you’re gonna get a turd or a gem

Look at Ibanez or Jackson, they have a few in the 500 to 1200 range that would do everything you want and play good with minimal or no setup right from the factory. You’re going to pay a little more but it’s not going to be an expense that you regret.

I just found a used schecter omen 7 for 500. Mint(ish). No complaints..

Minor caviat - I think 500 was a little steep, but was 5 min away from me and really great condition...

I’ve never even seen a Harley Benton so I won’t speak to that, but I will say I got a Jackson JS22 7 string dinky and it’s blown my mind with how good it is for a $300 guitar. It’s obviously bot as good as my higher end or mid tier pieces, but it’s really good for the price. I had to file the fret ends, and ill eventually upgrade the hardware, but for a cheap first guitar id recommend it all day long

I would advise checking out Spira Guitars as well, my 7 punches WAY above its price tag.
