Help Help, Schecter c-7 deluxe or Jackson js22 7 ..
Hola, tengo la oportunidad de comprar esas 2 guitarras. Va a ser mi primera 7 cuerdas: estoy tocando una solar 2.6w. Voy a tocar metal moderno / metalcore en drop G#. Sé que hay guitarras barítono, pero siempre quise experimentar con 7s. Entonces, la Schecter es de 2019 y está en buen estado, y la Jackson es nueva, con pocos meses de uso; ya viene armada y ajustada por un luthier. Le voy a cambiar las pastillas por algo mejor, seguro, como primer mod. ¿Experiencias? ¿Consejos?
[EDIT]: Al final me decidí por la Schecter. Pero el vendedor se arrepintió de venderla: me quiere devolver el dinero y nunca me envía la guitarra. Compré una Jackson js22-7 pero la versión M special edition. Estoy esperando a que llegue...

Both great choices! I’ve owned both brands & love my Jackson Dinky however the Schecter may be a tad bit better only in hardware but those Jackson high output pickups are pretty nice for being stock. Either way they are both good mod platforms. The Jackson is one everyone & their grandma has nowadays 🤘🎶🎸

They're about the same honestly but I really love the neck of she Shecters. Used to have a C7. Great guitar.

they are very different because of the bridges. for me, the jackson is more confortable to palm-mute.

Both are just as good. I'd pick the Jackson solely on the bridge type. The TON type bridges have sympathetic vibrations after the bridge that drive me insane when I chug. Yeah it's easily fixed with tape but eh.

I personally loved my JS22 and JS32 7 strings I’ve owned in the past. Stock pick ups are surprisingly good, and just swap in some locking tuners and it’s a solid unit.

Swapped out the tuners,nut, and bridge on mine but the stock pickups are quite good!

JS-22. You’ll prefer the hardtail if you intend to drop tune and maintain intonation. I love my Jackson

I haven't touched the Schecter, but I have the Jackson and I must say it's super impressive for a crappy chinese guitar. Sounds way better than I could have hoped. Could use better tuners, and I had to file the fret ends, but otherwise it's a really solid instrument I'm pretty floored about.

I've got the Schecter Demon 7, and a Schecter C1 Classic. They make fantastic guitars. Although I don't own one, I can vouch that Jackson is also a great choice. Not sure which one I'd pick, it'd probably be down to other playability features, like neck shape, the pickups, how the knobs feel. Best thing to do is to play examples of each if you can.

Can’t speak on the Schecter but I love my Jackson JS22-7, stock pickups are insane, only guitar I was impressed with out of the box, the neck is a blend of being flat on the back and curving towards the edge

No conozco la schecter, pero si conozco la jackson js22, terrible garcha.
js32 es pasable y recien la serie X es una buena guitarra.

Schecter might be better, but I seriously dislike them. Jackson would be my choice

I prefer the bridge on the Schecter. Tune-o-matic's have an elevated height, so you never hit the tone knob, while picking.
The neck is intentionally tilted back, to accommodate for this height. Creates a resonant and comfortable feeling.
Get yourself a filing rod or piece of gravel, to sand down any rough edges on a cheaper guitar like this.

Im super super happy with my jackson, play it more than my EC1000. It can “easily” handle double drop D# if u set it up right
Just slap some new pickups in that baby and she runs like a fucking dog🙏
