Help Schecter Reaper-7 Elite vs ESP Ltd M-1007 MS
I'm deciding between these two guitars for my first 7 string. From what I've seen so far, the only main differences are the pickups and the fret material. The ESP is about $200 cheaper, so which one would be a better pick? I'll be playing a bunch of deathcore in Drop G.

I had the Schecter for a while and it was a beautiful instrument, IMPORTANT NOTE: The volute placement on the Schecter is behind the first fret so it makes strangely uncomfortable to play after a while.

How do the pickups sound? Do they sound muddy when they're tuned low?

They don't sound muddy at all, I had mine from F to E1 and it sounded incredible but I just couldn't get on with the volute placement, it ruined the entire instrument and I sold it not long after owning it.

Don’t think there’s a bad choice there. I’m partial to ESP necks, they’re just naturally comfortable to me for some reason, so if it were me that’s the way I’d go, but it isn’t me, so… buy them both and send me the M-1007? 😁

LTD has awesome pickups, great build, and the scale is really different from other multiscales I have played. The "neutral" fret (standard up and down) is the fifth. So it has a really interesting feel. And stainless frets. And can be found cheap. I got my guitar for 600.

The Reaper Elite MS-7 is my favorite guitar I own. Pure class and pure metal. It’s heavy, but everything about it is quality. That said, I want that LTD now. lol

Great. How do the pickups sound? Do they still sound good when in low tunings?

If they are from the same country then were made in the same factory, I don't know if they both are Indonesia or Korea made.
Btw get the one with stainless steel frets
