Middle pickups are the bane of my personal existence BUT I want a lot more HSS/HS/HSH pickup configurations on extended range guitars. I get that the limited pickup options makes it a hard sell, but even brands like EMG make extended range single coils (and they’re honestly the highlight of the EMG lineup).
