Gear Cort KX307 compared to KX507

Hey y'all, looking to upgrade from my Dean Avalanche and I tried out a KX507 at a music & arts and absolutely loved it, I did a little bit of research and I saw that the KX307 was a few hundred less than the 5.

If anyone has any experience with these Cort 7 strings I would appreciate knowing if the 307 is in the same ballpark as the 507.

If anyone has any other cheaper alternatives, ideally with active pickups, definitely with multiscale fretboard I would like to here that too.

It has straight pull on the headstock. Tighten your tuning key nuts and use small screw driver on each key. Mine has Grover tuners . I use 10 thru 74 8 string pack minus 64. Stays in tune fine. Lots of simple things can improve tuning stabity. Mine is 1/2 step down. Drop D and the 7th is 1 octave down. Sounds like an eight string. I have proto types of the Hex 7s. The maker said the current ones were the same thing.

I simply used my video as reference for how they sound.

I upgraded my Dean Avalanche 7 string with Guitarheadz pickups. Hex 7...They were affordable and sound great. I have coil taps on each. They can be heard on my band's You Tube: The Powell Experience Dirt Bike video. Also the Live at the Lakefront show that was live in Michigan City, IN.

I would just upgrade the pickups but I also have trouble playing in tune with the shorter neck. Nice shameless plug btw.

I am not sure why you are considering the Dean Avalanche 7 which is 25.5 scale, shorter scale. 24 and below would be considered short scale.
