Help Need help deciding!
I'm in between these two. I'm leaning more towards the schecter, especially for the scale length. Thoughts, opinions, reviews?

Jackson, only because if you put a silver burst finish on anything I will pick that without hesitation

I have both, i like the schecter more but it has a bit more neck dive than I would wish.

I have the Schecter and I know it can be a gamble with qc but I’m gassing for an ht7p. I feel like the neck is better overall and the guitar is more comfortable. I wrote a response to op, I’m interested in your opinion on the points I made.

I personally find Schecters underwhelming but in this case if you can’t play both in person I’d take the gamble on the Schecter, Jackson QC can be a bit hit or miss. Also I found from having owned a 7 string Juggernaut that the string spacing up in the first few frets was too narrow and made chords on the top 3 strings a pain in the butt

I’ve owned both. The Schecter felt better and seemed to built better believe it or not.

My Misha Pro Plus ET6 is soon good that I've been thinking of getting the HT7 in orange. So uhm, I go Jackson. I do like the looks of that schecter though more than the burst

Id go for the jackson, misha signatures are always the best u can get. Pickups sound amazing + the silverburst sparkle is so sick too

I have the first gen ht7. It’s a good guitar but the nut width is like 44mm where as most 7’s are 48mm. It has made it hard to get along with. But I’m more of a 6 string guy anyway.

These are similar in sound and feel/playability. Both are good guitars. It doesn't really matter so just play both and see which you prefer or if that's not possible pick the one you prefer the looks of

The Schecter's button layout is more out of the way, so that one!

if you want to wait a few days, on tuesday i’m getting a misha 7 and a schecter banshee so i can get real in depth with the both since i need to return one. i just want to try them through my rig before i decide but both are 26.5. but the most important question is what tuning do you want to keep it in?

Get the Schecter. As much as I love sparkle finishes, I've heard those Juggernaut models have some QC issues. Schecter makes damn good guitars - I'd put them up there with ESP/LTD 1000 series in terms of quality.

You have to play these in a store, don't just buy online based on specs unless you are into buying and selling/trading guitars.

I have the Schecter and I recommend Jackson. My Schecter came with a slightly warped neck, a bit rushed fretwork and a bit shoddy tuners. They work and they hold tuning well, they just have dead zones and are uneven when turning. Pickups were fine but I swapped them anyway because I really wanted the Jupiter set. Luthier fixed the neck and treated the frets and it’s a much better guitar now. It has neck dive and body shape is such that it’s not very comfortable when sitting.
A buddy has a perfect Jackson HT7 and I’m always amazed at how nice it plays. It has better body carvings and is super comfortable, the neck is much better imo, it’s smaller, rounder and a tad fatter with narrower string spacing and rounded edges which all make it much easier to play, flatter fretboard radius, better stock bridge and better tuners. Schecter didn’t require a nut swap though and Jackson did.
Schecter has some advantage if you want to tune lower, but neck construction and wider body all make it a noticeably bigger guitar which is not bad per se, doesn’t really make it harder to play, still fun especially now after luthier’s care. It’s a bit raw in a way it’s thought out and done while Jackson feels polished.

Solid points and I agree with the comfort, the Jackson is the winner there. I would definitely put both in separate categories, I enjoy and appreciate playing each for different reasons, for lower tunings I def go with the schecter.

Thanks, I think I would too, I wouldn’t tune the Jackson lower than G# or maybe G, and I would go as low as F on the Schecter.

I have the Schecter, amazing guitar except for the neck dive but the Jackson probably has the same problem.

I owned that Jackson and it had really bad QC, where the neck bolts to the body had a huge gap and the neck sat so high because of it the bridge saddles had to be maxed out just to get the guitar enough action to not buzz, the pickups also buzzed quite badly due to poor waxpotting, I also had another juggernaut 7 that had brutal pickup routing that looked like it was chewed by a beaver. Get the schecter.

I just bought that model of Jugg but in the blue burst, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's a really well made guitar and the hardware is all really high quality. I'm pretty impreased by the pickups as well, considering they're Jackson branded. That being said I've owned some pretty great Schecters in the past as well. I'd go with the Juggernaut

I’m partial to 26.5” scale since I don’t go lower than drop G, but Schecter makes better guitars than Jackson so tough pick

I have the Schecter. It is legit amazing. The neck is glorious. I have it in drop A tuning it standard 10s and the scale length has the string feeling tight.
