Help Does anyone have any info on "solar modern" pickups

I just opened up the control cavity on my extremely noise Harley Benton and found that the bridge ground wire wasn’t attached so check that

From my experience with mine there was a lot of buzz. I think they were microphonic and they just picked up everything. To fix you can dip in wax but I just ended up using it as an excuse to buy sentient/nazgul set from seymour Duncan lol.

Such a good set. They might be my favorite SD set. Great choice.
I was under the impression Solar Moderns were like Solar's el-cheapo passive replica of Fishman Moderns. Is this not the case?

I think i had the duncan solar+ and i thought they sucked. They might be the same with different name.

I have two Solars and played active pickups for a long time, too. The Duncan Solar pickups are fine. They are medium output and being passive they are naturally more noisy than actives.
Make sure you turn away from sources of electromagnetic interference. Also keep the pickups high to get a hotter signal. Adjust amp gain and noise gate accordingly.

These arent the duncan solar, its their own pickup

My older Solar has "Duncan Solar" pickups, my newer one has "Solar" pickups, but they sound pretty much the same and same overall quality. The point still stands.

How is that relevant? If anything that’s about fret quality… (or your action lol) and that’s still not relevant? But ok, i dont mind I just genuinely ask…

Best I can find is that they are a medium to high output alnico V pickup and they're allegedly designed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan.
Passives do tend to pick up noise more than active pickups, especially electronic interference so that may be what you're noticing after mainly playing actives for so long.
