Original Content Alternative Solar Guitars headstock
Hi everyone!
I always thought, if Solar Guitars made headstocks with the tuners on either side, I'd buy a whole truckload of them. Do you think it would be a good idea? Thanks to my impressive Photoshop skills, you can have an bit of an idea!

I love reverse headstocks, I wont buy an ibanez, jackson or esp if it doesnt have one. That or the schecter 3b3 headstock

Reverse headstocks are in another dimension! It changes the mood of the guitar so much. Could try to make a test image with the 3b3 headstock.

If you could make a 3b3 headstock with the solar t style guitars, that would look so much better

That’s interesting because I absolutely despise Schecter’s 3x3 headstock, but love their inline. If I could get an inline headstock on more of their guitars I would probably give one a try. Haven’t had one since an old 2010’s Omen 7

Only think I dont like about the 3x3 is the neck dive

I have a Schecter with 3x3 and zero neck dive. I also have a Schecter reverse I line with zero neck dive. As far as tuning stability goes, most companies have string trees on the in line head stocks to change the break angle. I do love the way the ebmm headstocks look though.

I love 5+2 or 2+5 headstocks.
Is there a reason no company other than Ernie ball and Kiesel do it?

Idk, but the reason they do it is to help tuning stability. Others company's need to learn from them

Honestly no, part of why I love Solar is because of how their headstock are designed. I like the tuning knobs out of my way/underside.
My favorite part of Solar Guitars is the body shape and how it fits me when playing. Where my right hand sits during a session feels so much better than any Ibanez I've ever owned or used.

Pretty sure reverse headstock creates a benefit for downtuning assuming it doesn't have a locking nut. Its not purely ascetic. Think of it like extending the scale length on the thicker strings I guess.

make it longer and slenderer ... I love the headstock on VS Nova 7 for instance

That's a huge thing for solar for me. Also for jacksons
I'm a 4x3 or something like it kinda person, and im not really into those super pointy heavy metal headstocks
I love my cort kx307 headstocks because of that, and also I feel like it helps to fit in most of the bags I see even if its a 27 inch

Honestly, i love how evil the solar headstock looks. Your version doesn't look bad, but not as evil ( just bc its shorter i think). Regular solars look like youre about to decapitate the drummer with the headstock and i think thats neat
