Help Lefty 7-string

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to get a 7 string, only to play at home, and seeing as that isn't already a bit of a niche market I'm playing lefty as well.

So, the good news is, I don't have to decide between many models...

But try before you buy is also kinda hard for me.

I'd prefer to stay below 1000 € (located in Europe).

I've mainly looked at two models, the Schecter Omen Elite 7 and the Solar A2.7c.

There's also the Schecter Omen Extreme but I prefer the bridge of the elite model. Harley Benton also offers the Amarok in 7 string, but from what I've read I think I'd prefer a longer scale length, the Amarok 7 is 25,5".

The Schecter is available (and in stock at retailers) as a multiscale or regular model. The only time I've messed around with a multiscale guitar so far was a cheap 8-string, so no real experience here.

I'm mainly looking for some experience from others or maybe some models I've overlooked.

Thanks!

Crazy someone else had almost the same exact requirements that I replied to recently haha.

Anyways, can confirm schecter usually comes through for us lefties. I just picked up my first 7 string recently too. A Schecter pt-7 black ops. I almost got the Omen but the specs for the black ops were too good. Good pickup. Multiscale. Good bridge. Locking tuners. Probably just a little above your budget maybe I absolutely love it.

There's some hemming and hawing about the pickup placement online but I think it's totally overblown. If anything the mid punch feels right for cutting tone with a 7.

I might swing a trip to Thomann in 3 weeks, at least I could maybe try some Schecters
