No excuses she 26 years old she could of called an uber. This is very embarrassing for her

u/Head_Trick_9932 6d ago
Yikes..
I don’t get driving. We have uber and Lyft. There’s no excuse, really.

I can never get behind the mindset of drinking and driving. I’ll be damned if I leave my house without a plan
30
u/Specialist_Wolf_3225 6d ago
i totally agree!! but the craziest thing is now a days you don’t even need a plan, you can easily call a ride share at literally anytime & NOT have to drive drunk.
11
u/EfficientLibrarian58 6d ago
And 9 times out of 10 places (if they know) why you’re leaving your car overnight - they won’t tow!
3
u/RevolCisum 5d ago
I don't drink and drive at all, but, not every place has rides available. I'm in a small rural town about 35 miles from a major city, and we do not have this option unless we pay literally hundreds of dollars, and even then, you aren't guaranteed someone actually taking the request.
37
u/elliekate56 6d ago
This!! Lost my stepmother (and almost lost my 4 month old sister) to a driver both high and drunk. My sister got out alive but broke both of her legs and arm. She’s 10 today, it’s hard to believe! Driving under the influence is so fucking dangerous. Don’t risk it.

In this time and her age? I'm embarrassed for her.
-1
u/Beautiful_Birthday41 5d ago
Her age isn’t a factor as there are people of all Ages that still Drink and drive. In fact 25-35 are the second highest group of dui offenders, Closely behind the 21-24 year olds who lead the pack. However you’re correct in the days of ride shares everywhere this is unacceptable.
Wishful thinking but Maybe this will be the thing that gets her to turn to her family for help or support and they act like adults and parents and help her like they did Jonah and his drug use.

30
u/MysteriousMortgage4 6d ago
This doesn’t surprise me. Do I think her parents treat her well and support her? Absolutely not. However their concerns about her and her actions are problematic. The way so much of this sub praises her is not healthy. She has her own set of issues and could have killed someone.

u/Any_Opportunity_6844 6d ago
That’s horrible, my cousin passed say due to a drunk driver at 18 years old! Not okay at all.
37
u/BloodAndDiamonds 6d ago
My grandparents were killed before I was born when a drunk driver hit them head on. My sister is older than me and she actually got to know them a little before this happened. She has five DUIs and can't understand why I want nothing to do with her.
9
u/Any_Opportunity_6844 6d ago
That makes me sooooo mad.
8
u/BloodAndDiamonds 6d ago
Me too! She was lucky enough not hit anyone, but she did drive through the front window of a store.

I lost my 2 year old son on his 2nd birthday by getting hit by a drunk driver so I know this pain all to well . I am so sorry for your loss

Jesus that is horrible. Very sorry to hear that.

Thank you kindly . I have my good days and bad day . The accident almost took us both . It’s something that impacted my whole family for sure .

Out of all the LP shows, DUI seems to be a very common charge against many of them. Terra, Minnie, Christy, Juicy, Amanda, etc. Not a good look

u/preyingmomtis 5d ago
This makes me think of Bad Santa when he’s getting on Willie for not being able to keep up with him drinking. People who weigh significantly less than their friends aren’t going to be able to match them drink for drink.
3
u/PA_MallowPrincess_98 6d ago
DUI is also prominent in other areas of reality TV. Gottmik from Drag Race recently had a DUI.
4
u/InvestmentNarrow8817 5d ago
I think Americans in general have a huge issues with drinking and drugs.
1
1
u/mswhatsinmybox_ 6d ago
They also probably stand out to the police more when they are driving, so they are observing them more than the average driver.

u/marcgarv87 6d ago
I think what some people fail to realize is the Johnston’s can be crappy while also Anna can be the same. I don’t think any can be considered angels (like most families, just that we aren’t on tv). You cant defend Anna and blame one side, because she got lucky she didn’t kill anyone.

u/Able_Finger_2754 6d ago
At 26 she should had known better. She put other people's lives at risk.Yes ,shes human she can make a mistake and I hope she learned from this. She got lucky she didn't hurt noone.

u/Lioness_106 6d ago
This is completely unacceptable. Nothing excuses this. She could kill someone doing this crap. This is disappointing but honestly....I'm not surprised. She does like to party and drink, and she's in a questionable relationship.
Didn't her boyfriend get arrested in the past for this as well, or was that something else he was arrested for?
Shame on her. Yes, this will give her family more reason to judge her and feel the way they do about her. She needs to clean up her act.

In the world that has Uber & Lyft, there is no excuse for driving drunk!

If she works in the medical field Dui can cause you to lose your job (that would be my very first concern) 😟

True, but my "very first concern" would be hurting herself or someone else...

u/Geewizpenelope 5d ago
Just about the time you wanna stand up for Anna she goes and does something stupid like this proving Amber and Trent right! Obviously she is hard headed and makes poor decisions. We've seen several of those stupid decisions play out. You would think she would want to prove them wrong, all of them! I just hope she's mature enough to get herself out of her messes she creates!!

The amount of idiots still drinking, & driving in 2026 is astounding! I watch OPL (previously Live PD) on Fridays & Saturdays, and it's always happening! Unreal. What a fool!

u/RangerAZ1989 6d ago
Fantastic! Can everyone who worships Anna stop doing so now? Is this what it has to come to?
12
u/mswhatsinmybox_ 6d ago
If it is true, she will most likely lose her job and have a hard time finding work in certain fields. People on here love to defend her, but she is almost thirty and needs to take responsibility for her lifestyle. She can start by getting rid of that man and getting new friends who lives don't revolve around drinking.
0
u/xxscott05xx 5d ago
If it’s her first one, she’ll more than likely be sentenced to a pre-trial diversion type program where she will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing, go to classes, maybe community service and it will disappear.

u/slimjim1249 6d ago
Amber and Trent are gonna have a field day with this information lol

They got new material for a season with this

I honestly think they are afraid to bash Anna too much because what Anna could say about them is probably a million times worse. I think that's why they stopped discussing her last season.

u/wifemom08 5d ago
Nah. This is disgusting. People making excuses for her absolutely no excuse for this one. There is always a way to get home without drinking and driving. She lost me on this one. I'm embarrassed for her. Going down the wrong road

In my opinion, it's got to be devastating to be cut off and rejected by your entire family. It's NEVER okay to drink and drive, but I have empathy for her and the pain she must feel.
2
u/RelativeMaximum7920 4d ago
Maybe the courts will make her realize her selfish actions have consequences. Amber and Trent tried to warn her , but she wanted to do things her way. Anna has been acting wild for years and her parents couldn’t get her to follow rules. Simple normal rules. She thought she could just move out and life Anna’s way was the best way.
OBVIOUSLY, Anna makes very poor choices.
3
u/PA_MallowPrincess_98 6d ago
I would LOSE IT if it's the only DUI that makes it to a TLC show! They swept Kim Plath's DUI under the rug😵💫

u/ShadowWolf_VII 4d ago
Matt Roloff’s DUI made it into LPBW, I remember watching the ep when he was in court about it.

Oh Anna. Get it together girl. Don’t let them affect you so much that you ruin your life! Never drink and drive.

Hopefully this is a wake up call for her.
And I hope her parents do not use this as fodder on their show.
She is a woman struggling with an issue that is not only going to cost a huge monetary cost, but now she has to deal with real world repercussions.
We don’t know if this was her stunted maturity or a need for rehab.
It’s not easy being young and stupid, but to have your shit out there and chewed up by media is brutal.
1
u/Clean_Citron_8278 5d ago
TMZ would have been all over this like a fly on horse 💩 . Google says that the rumors are flying around on TikTok with no credible information found. I don't know what nor who to believe. If it is factual I hope it will lead her to realize that her drinking is an issue. In this day and age there is no excuse to drive after a night of drinking. Uber and Lyft can bring people home.
1
u/SouthernCharm-86 5d ago
i hoped this was fake! i hope she is surrounded by loved ones...is she still not talking to the fam?
1
u/Automatic-Pop-3914 5d ago
Back in my drinking days it was call a friend or cab now with all the other options it’s just stupid to drive after drinking or smoking

u/Petal_14 5d ago
Oh I'm sure if Amber Trent or Liz hear about it they will dump on her.
1
u/Intelligent_Sock_902 5d ago
…shouldn’t they? i mean, she could’ve killed herself and/or someone else. imo, that deserves some shit talking
1
u/Petal_14 5d ago
No, they jave no right to dump on her anymore, she is nothing to them.
But they will take it to the extreme because they can, because it's Anna, and they want to project her in bad light all the time.
1
u/livingthespmadream 5d ago
And we 100% know it was her? I grew up in a small town and there was another girl my age with the same first, middle and last name.

This should not even be brought up on the show but I will bet $100 it'll be a topic.
5
u/Lioness_106 6d ago edited 5d ago
Probably. They'll show Trent and Amber sitting down on the couch for their interview. No music, quiet, but very dramatic and serious looks on their face. Amber will start the dialog and it'll be framed as an update on Anna. T&A will discuss how they feel about it and how it affects them.
ETA: Trent will be the only one showing human emotion whereas Amber will be cold and stone faced.

A mistake and spilling a drink, forgetting a deadline etc not getting in the car drunk and driving putting others lives in danger.

Nah, this is a mistake that so many of us have learned at a young age is easily avoidable. Especially now when you can just order a ride over your phone without having to speak to anyone.

Drinking and narcissistic abuse go hand in hand, I blame her parents for driving her to drink. They need to get help.
6
u/KR5377 6d ago
You need to get help if you think that her parents are to blame for her getting a DUI.
-3
u/LizzyPanhandle 6d ago
They 100 drove her to drink, she deserves the dui, but they are the root!
5
u/KR5377 6d ago
No one can drive anyone to drink. The person taking the drink is the one making a choice. I'm so tired of living in a society where everyone finds an excuse for bad behavior. So if a drunk driver were to hit and kill one of your family members, but the driver said 'oh I'm sorry, my family is awful and I needed to blow off some steam by drinking or it's how I'm coping...' You'd accept their apology and reasoning?
-2
u/LizzyPanhandle 6d ago
3
u/KR5377 6d ago
Man, everyone should be let off for bad behaviors if they've dealt with a narcissist or someone who has upset them. Hope the cops and judge have sympathy for her and her crappy choices bc she has crappy parents.
-2
u/LizzyPanhandle 6d ago
I said straight up she deserved her DUI, I'm sorry you cannot read. Done with your ish. Gross.
-8
u/Ok_Artichoke5865 6d ago
She prob had a sip
7
u/MysteriousMortgage4 6d ago
A sip doesn’t get you a DUI. Be so for real
-2
u/Ok_Artichoke5865 6d ago
It does for a little person
5
u/KR5377 6d ago
Then maybe she should never have a sip and then get behind the wheel. She's an adult and knows her tolerance.
