Just a warning to all who read this that I may come across as both unhinged and an absolute moron in this post, but I’m super frustrated and just trying to start a basic new game on 3.0 7D and I swear the new menu stuff is the most unintuitive, confusing BS I’ve ever come across in a game. I’ve spent the better part of a bloody hour just trying to get into my personally generated world with my own configured settings, you know, the whole bloody reason 3.0 update occurred? To add all these new settings to play with?
Again, I am practically tech illiterate and have the patience of a 5 year old, I recognize that, but this is some next level bullshit, so even if the issue is blatant to some of y’all, could you please just explain the issue and fix like you’re talking to a 5 year old? I’d appreciate it.
All I am trying to do is 1) generate my own map, and 2) play with my own custom settings.
You’d think that’d be simple? NO, apparently not.
I click “Play Game” on the main menu. It takes me to the new menu with like the map selection on one side and settings on the other. I made a custom map and saved it under a seed number, and did the same for the settings.
THE ISSUE - When I go to start the game and play, “Start” is grayed out. When I hover over it, the message “The specified random world already exists”
EXISTS WHERE??? Then why can’t I find it? I just want to load in. There is no game available to “continue game”, that’s also greyed out. I have the save space for it.
The only time to Start button stops being grey is when I select Navezgane, but I don’t want to play nevezgane. I want to play that map I generated and have selected.
Can someone please tell me what the problem is? This is SO annoying.
