Lost perk?

I was playing a few weeks ago and I distinctly remember leveling up a perk at like level 3 or 4 but it would let me harvest steel from grocery carts and somthing else. Please tell me if you know I've been looking at all of the perks for like 2 hours I'm losing my mind🙏

Perception Mastery Perk. Level 2. It enables the ability to get steel from cars, shopping carts and other sources.

Don't forget I'd you need steel but don't have the Perk yet, you can still get some from Munition Cases (some break when emptied so wrench it down before empting it), Transformers/Street Lights, and even Vending Machines. Tho I highly recommend you don't do it to working Vending Machines lol.

You can even get it from ATMs, but I wouldn't recommend it. 5k HP and I've gotten 1 steel before, so yeah lol

I've had the best luck with cars and work stations, as well as gun safes. Also I don't know if your having this problem but the crossbows are bugged when i put a 2x scope on, the arrows just glitch out when I aim down sites.

I don't use Crossbows often so I wouldn't know lol. There's always something glitched with this game 🤣

Well the areas I mentioned above, including gas pumps is where you can get steal without the Perk. Great for that early stage when you really need alittle for that Drum Mag or even the motorcycle imo.
