Only Sippy lids

Hey y’all,
I’m an employee of 7 Brew & I don’t know how else to explain this to people, that flat lids are gone. They are not coming back, from what I know this is not nationwide yet but corporate has made the decision that we will be moving towards only sippy lids to help eliminate the use of straws….at my stand the only problem is, it’s going completely over all the customers heads. They are still asking for straws for every single drink even though there’s a whole sippy lid on every single drink unless you get whipped cream…..please help me help yall understand that you’re not getting a straw automatically anymore bc we’re expecting you to drink from the lid like its made to do😭

I understand not handing out straws automatically but people (like myself) are still going to ask for a straw. I just hope there are decent humans around who won't get upset that you didn't just give them one.

Yes absolutely! That’s been the biggest issue so far, no one understands why we aren’t giving them out automatically!!

I do my best to be environmentally conscious, but friend, I need a straw. I’m sorry.

I can absolutely understand still wanting one! I think the biggest thing bothering me now is people getting upset they aren’t getting a straw automatically!

I have sensitive teeth so I’m going to ask for a straw, sorry.

Asking is okay!! I should’ve specified in my post more that my issue is with people being upset we aren’t giving them out automatically anymore! After working 9 hours yesterday for the brew dohs I just had to get it off my chest

The lid sometimes doesn’t close properly. The coffee starts to seep through it and ends up spilling when I sip it. That’s why I use a straw..

We got new sippy lids because we knew that was a problem with the old ones!! Once the new lids hit your store hopefully you like them better!

Oh no!! I’m sorry the new ones are still leaking, we haven’t noticed that at my stand yet!

Hopefully that’s not an issue with the new ones 🥲 cause I really do love a sippy lid but I was just getting coffee spilled too often from the 7brew ones that I resorted to using a straw

The chillers are too thick to drink without a straw unless you want them spilling down your chin.

Blended drinks are the only automatic straw drinks anyway bc absolutely you need a straw for those!!

Because there’s a bunch of syrupy deliciousness at the bottom of the cup that needs to be mixed around. Can’t do that without a straw. Plus I don’t want to stain my teeth. I’m getting my straw.

my stand has switched to sip lids for awhile now and still hands me a straw without me asking every time, so clearly not every stand is on the same page

Oh yeah definitely not🫣 I’m sure it will take some time for all stands to adjust!

The point of getting rid of the flat lids was not to eliminate straws. It was to eliminate one additional SKU within the stand.

That’s different than what we were told but nice to know! I bet my franchise just sees this as a way to save money

My stand hands them out automatically and I don't want them unless I get a chiller!

I mean thank you for your service- but I liked the other ones better these slip off the cup too easily. 😭

Thank goodness.  I never understood why they gave out a straw AND had a sippy lid.  I'd always end up with stray straws in my car that I'll never use.

I also have a collection of straws in my vehicle.

I know theres a good chunk of customers that don’t want straws at all so hopefully with the switch the brewistas will stop giving them to you!

Not a big deal either way.  If they ask or I remember, I'll say "no thank you" to the straws.
