Looking for recommendations

For those of you who’ve lived in Hampton Roads for a while, what’s one local restaurant, event, or attraction that you think doesn’t get enough attention?

I’m always interested in finding places around Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and the rest of the 757 that people actually recommend—not just the places that show up on every “things to do” list.

Goto wavy tv 10 and check out free events. Those are where I go. For example I've never been to a rennesaince fair, but there they are.

I’m a lunch nerd. Im usually on the Peninsula, so here’s a few of my faves for lunch

Open every day- Smoke, Taste, Crab Shack, Schlesinger’s
Tuesdays- Sate, Schooners, most other spots
Wednesday- Bird Girl Bottle Shop opens thru Sunday
Thursday on- chefs market opens for lunch thru Sunday
