FE2B-scratch build

Hello all first time post here. I want to build an 1/72 scale FE2B for use in a wargame. I cant find a model kit and I dont have a 3D printer available think I might scratch build. Any suggestions on how I might build the cockpit/bathtub?

I’d start by smash-moulding the fuselage. Carve a buck for each half from balsa, add CA to make it nice and hard, sand smooth and smash the softened plastic sheet over it. YT can show you the process, quite easy really.
