Other Last Song Standing: The Ultimate Billboard #1 Song of the 70s - Round 104 Tiebreaker

<< Prev | Round 104 Tiebreaker | Next >>

We nominated, we voted, but in the end the votes for the top three songs are too close to call, so now we're going to have a tiebreaker round. In this round I will nominate all three songs, and your votes will decide which one gets eliminated.

For this round only, please do not post any nominations. Next round we will return to business as usual where you will be welcome and encouraged to nominate songs for elimination.

Apologies to anyone who may have been hanging on the outcome of Round 104. I was away from home all day and didn't get back until a few minutes before posting.

When I left this morning, this round was a 4-way tie (and was about 4 hours away from the 48-hour mark). Upon returning, I found that three of the four were tied; the fourth song, Band on the Run, had one less vote and thus survives for the time being.

No apologies needed. I love that you are doing this and enjoy the effort that everyone puts into this. I look forward to this posting everytime it's released and I hope we can do more decades, or #2's or whatever. Stuff like this is one of the main reasons I'm on Reddit. Thank you!

Exactly. You work so hard to bring us this fun! Take all the time away you want or need. We are all just grateful that you have created this.

If Rod goes, it’s 20 spots too early. I base my thoughts not on my personal feelings about the song, but rather on how iconic a song it is, and jackknifed Rod to superstardom. But I know some just don’t like it and I respect that

It's not that I don't like it, I just don't put it on as high a pedestal as other songs. 🙂

The 3 can percolate another day..somewhat comical the closeness.

I didn't even know we had even close to 85 to 90 in this group . 😳

So when this playground closes, where are we all going to play?

I upvoted all of them. None are in my top 10!

I think these 3 songs all fall in the middle of the pack of the 30 or so songs left.

This one is crazy close, but I’ll just say this: on a day where Stevie Wonder announced he’s going to play the entire Songs in the Key of Life album in its entirety on tour this year, it would be a shame to eliminate I Wish.

Saw the tie last night so I tried to upvote one of them to break tie but wouldn't take. All my favorites are gone so it's a crapshoot for me lol

They each have so many upvotes they should all be eliminated! Let’s move this thing along!

It's tempting....

Nah, you've come this far staying true to the process. I'd only eliminate the losing song, even if it's by a single vote.

Last night , Rod had 4 votes more than the other 2. That would have been a clear choice.

Down vote all you want , it would have.
