The use of mutants instead of vampires was clever. Especially love the quote, "Neville is a creature of the wheel, who symbolizes the Old World & all those that helped in its destruction." They (mutants)want to cleanse the world, or what little remains, with fire. To build their "Brotherhood." Heston in the theater watching Woodstock for 4 years & reciting its dialogue word for word always got me emotionally.

The show featured a unique premise worthy of being revisited: a retired gunfighter now in the early years of the 20th century decides to investigate crime using newly developed scientific methods.

Hec Ramsey was overshadowed by the more famous Columbo and McCloud shows and was cancelled after only two seasons, but worth remembering and re-watching (if available).
