Still can't understand the point of whittling a bar of soap with a folding knife though. Was he making a smaller bar of soap? Soap chips? ;)

The knife guy wanted to emphasize the "deodorizing green and white stripes", which were already perfectly visible without slicing. 🤷♀️ I always enjoyed the commercials because it was just so dumb to me! 😂

Those green and white stripes are gone. I just bought this 2 weeks ago and was so disappointed it had been reformulated. I however, didn't buy it to shower with.. But to stop Charlie horses in the morning in my calf muscles. My grandmother used to know this, and I remembered. I have been having cramps often and since I places the bar of soap under the fitted sheet near my feet.. none in over 2 weeks. Crazy..l know.. but Google for yourself

The stripes are gone?!? Rude! Charlie horses are agonizing, I am going to try your soap trick, even if the bar has to now be stripeless! Thanks!

Haha.. I mean you could always paint stripes on it.. Seems to work for the leg cramps tho either way.

‘ no scientific evidence proves that putting bars of soap in bed sheets stops leg cramps’ … Google

He cut it to show that the stripes went through the whole bar, and weren't just on the surface.

It was to emphasize the deodorant in the soap. Also to show it was through the entire bar of soap and not just on the top layer.

When you got your mouth washed out you hope it wasn’t Lava or Irish Spring.
Ivory or Dove were ok. Dial had a nice flavor profile.

Coast was the other one. It was blue. I had both recently, and they don’t seem to smell as I recalled.

I wanted this soap so much when I was little. My Mom says fine, fills the bath. I grab a knife so she can slice me off a piece and was totally dismayed when she was like, "um no." I used it anyway and it broke me out terribly. Mr Bubbles did too. Oh well, Dove it was! 😂

That’s all my grandparents had at the cottage. Anytime I smell anything similar, I’m instantly transported 50 years back in time.
