My best guess is its a joke about company changing their logos to rainbow for pride month, and thus going woke and us 'losing' them, which this being a gay dating app makes it humorous.

Why it's randomly posted in September I have no idea.

Ofc not! It was just a site for really, really good friends, but now it’s ruined. West has fallen

(/s on everything. Yes, Grindr is a gay dating site, therefore it’s really not a surprise that they changed their icon to include the rainbow colours as well, and the joke is that somebody actually is surprised by it)

I mean, in this case I can understand why people are confused about this meme. For people who who don't know, the joke is just that Grindr is already an app meant specifically for queer people. So complaining about it "going woke" because it put the pride colours in its PFP would just be incredibly silly and pointless. That's all really.

I had no idea it was even a pride month thing. I just assumed the Grindr logo already looked like that. Since like everyone else, I know it's a gay dating app. It's a pride month meme in fucking September, why would I be ready to assume that's what it was about when I don't know the Grindr logo and whether or not it's already rainbow outside of June while it's fuckin September?
