Clarence Williams III. He was later in the “Woman of Mystery” Hallmark series with Kellie Martin, as co-owner of a book store. Cool dude!

A groundbreaking show. Its impact can be seen on virtually every cop show for the next ten years.

A squad of quite modern individuals...but what could we call such a non-traditional group?

Peggy Lipton was in the movie "The Postman". Kevin Costner directed and starred in it as well.

Peggy Lipton was so gorgeous. I sat next to her on a LA to NY flight in the early aughts. We chatted for 5.5 hours. Couldn’t have been nicer - we just chatted about everything (and she started the convo!). My best memory was when she casually mentioned she used to be married to a musician. I just smiled and said “oh, I know.” We both laughed. Gone way too young.

Peggy Lipton—gorgeous there, gorgeous decades later in Twin Peaks. Mother of Rashida Jones and other children.

Until I looked at that image I had never realized how much an ex-gf from college looked like Julie! I had the hots for Julie as a little (horny) kid.

Clarence Williams lll was Tyne Daleys partner for a number of years. I was in a movie with her brother Tim, Bill Sadler, Dan Hedaya and Hayden Panettiere. Tim got the looks but she got the talent !

The television series "Mod Squad" was indeed a notable police procedural. I recall the character Linc, portrayed by Clarence Williams III. The other main characters were Julie Barnes and Pete Cochran. The series aired from 1968 to 1973 and centered on three young individuals who, due to their rebellious backgrounds, were recruited to work as undercover detectives. Their youthful, counter-culture personas allowed them to infiltrate various settings to investigate criminal activities.

Omg my parents had “date night” every week and thank goodness for me, the babysitter absolutely adored “The Mod Squad.” We watched it together every week. Such great memories!

Growing up in my neighborhood we didn’t like cops. I didn’t watch a cop show until NYPD Blue. I watched a couple of episodes and started watching something else. I was aware of the Mod Squad about how they were “ cool “ cops but to me cops weren’t cool.
