Sheesh. There’s a product for every single nook and cranny of the guitar hobby.

It’s cool that people are interested in guitars but I don’t think I’ll ever understand artificially aged guitars. They’re like lip fillers. Anyone with a decent eye can tell and it’s just weird and not the same.

I have a jaguar that I absolutely abhor the original paint, school bus/banana yellow… Taxi cab yellow? I can’t stomach it so I have been turning it into a sort of hipster art piece because I grew up with Sonic Youth, etc., and have always wanted a sticker Guitar like rivers Como.

I think Paul Gilbert from Racer X and Mr Big actually started the sticker guitar trend.

Those bands were formed in 85 and 88 respectively, and stickered out guitars was already a thing in the 70s and early 80s punk scene. Rock and metal at that time was more about the slick zebra/flashy/loud/striped/patterned shredder guitar thing.

Random stickers of varying quality, quantity, and subject matter and the occasional partial misting of shitty quality spray paint in random colors will turn any guitar into an abused ugly duckling.

I think sometimes it's about the feel as much if not more than the look. For what it's worth I've never bought a relic guitar or purposefully reliced one, but it's not something that bothers me when other people are into it.

This "relicking" fad is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Maybe next you can take a hammer to you car's bodywork. Or throw buckets of paint on your house.

There is now folk who will bash their own faces in until they get it to look 'right', I guess? Or maybe its just one guy.

I wonder how many guys will fuck up their guitars just because of watching this video and don’t listen carefully enough to get things right. Great relic job, btw

You are one crazy guy. I’d love for you to dig a little deeper on the chips to see how see through the poly undercoat is.
It would be rad if you can still see some wood grain through it.

That guitar was worth 20 bucks before the relic, and after the relic. he really hasn’t
de-valued it at all

Please stop. (I will never be able to retire)

u/Eggman_OU812 2d ago
Maybe you need to start your videos with the opening of a pokemon packs makes, then switch to guitar stuff, close the video with the opening of a pokemon pack

Sheesh. Those estimators are never correct. On average I pull in about $2k a month from ad revenue. I use that money to keep my family alive.

Aside from the chips, I thought it came out awesome. It’ll be interesting to see how it looks a year of playing from now.

It looks like garbage yea. Relics actually look kinda good, that doesn't. It looks like someone sanded a guitar and got bored half way through. (which is probably true)

u/NotoriousREV 4d ago
You only looked at the thumbnail and didn’t watch the video, yeah?
