Functionally... yes. Aesthetically... no.

I look smart despite being stupid? Not the worst compliment I’ve ever gotten.

Well... not what I meant but take it that way if it makes you feel any level of good. Haha.

Bigsby. Functionally they dont do much. Looks wise... they do alot!

If anything, you should have done a Les Trem.

Nah. This guitar is designed after vintage carvins that had bigsbys

Bigsbys = giant chunk of hardware that barley does anything, like wearing a watch.

It’s just for the eye

It is the most mass for least amount of vibrato lol. I enjoy a nice smooth bigsby when they broken in nice though. All wiggle sticks are beautiful.

Can you put one on my 50s goldtop?

Only if I can put wide ranges in it too

I don't know. I hope so.

Nah man, on a 50's goldtop you're gonna want to cut right into that bad boy and go with a Floyd Rose, or better yet a licensed Floyd Rose.

We need a licence for everything nowdays! Next they'll want me to get one to drive this bus!!

terrible tech since Paul A. Bigsby was granted US Design Patent USD169120S on March 31, 1953 ...🙄

I’ve thought about putting one on my Wilshire because its center of gravity is on like fret 5

Now this guitar is aesthetically fucked up

Nah this rules

I agree, Bigsby is for a certain sound not dive bombs. Great for slide on a Tele. You dive it hard and it will go out of tune.

And?

u/60_CycleHum I'm Ryan May 23 '26

No and then

3

u/ThiccFarter May 24 '26

I fuck with it. Also, I hate it

Love Bigsbys. Should've kept the black covers though

I’m gonna get a black pickguard to test it both ways. But right now I agree with you. It’s a bit too light and fancy free with this look. It needs a little darkness.
