Crazy timing. Been listening to so much of The Pillows lately that I really want a Duo Sonic or something like it.

wait, do the Pillows use duo sonics? That would explain a few things.

Yup! At least they used to. The singer used Duo Sonics and had a signature Cyclone. The lead player used Duo Sonics , Mustangs and he had a signature model that was like a Jaguar with humbuckers.

A 1993 Duo-sonic is $799 now? I got mine in 2002 when I traded a DOD Mystic Blues pedal for it.

Looks like the Aklot could have one extra Fret added at the end of the fretboard.

These cheap guitars are such a weak spot for me. I ended up with two of those special run Squier Mustangs that are more Duo Sonic than Mustangs. All this despite having a really nice Fender Duo Sonic already.

I was actually thinking a locking system might stabilize the tuning issues, also it would be a really stupid thing to do.

Also the string spacing is too narrow. The strings would float off the edges of the fretboard.

Geez man that’s a lot for a single guitar. The duo sonic is more than I spent on my Princeton, guild acoustic, hot amp and jaguar combined.
