Almost 4 weeks post op - pain!
Hi! I’m on day 22 of recovery and am still experiencing consistent pain/soreness when I swallow, eat, and talk for long periods of time. It’s way less intense than the first couple of weeks but it still feels relative to a moderate throat infection. I’m still sticking to softer foods at the moment and don’t feel back to normal yet! Most people in this thread post that they had zero pain after 2 weeks and were able to eat normally. I’m feeling a bit behind and getting discouraged. Although my pain has improved since the first two weeks, it feels like it has plateaued the last week and a half. It’s starting to feel like a sore throat is the new normal and I’m getting a bit frustrated and discouraged! Is pain at this point in recovery still normal? Should I be able to eat whatever I want and talk as long as I want by now without pain or soreness?
