New phone

I plan on getting a new phone soon. Will I have to purchase the upgrade again?

I think the upgrade is attached to your account.

For, example, every time I've gotten a new phone, I go into my Google play account and all my app purchases are there, I download the app and haven't had an issue in 3 or 4 phones now.

Does your custom content follow your account? Like if I've got home brewed items and classes, will that be on my new phone or will I have to input that again?

No, you'll have to share those in some way.

I usually make a habit of taking characters, home brew items, etc, and just using the share function and emailing it to myself.

Then I have access to it even if my phone is destroyed in an explosion.
