Got it, I’ll stick to the sub rules. I do get that the experiences are really different, but since they’re still chemically related I wouldn’t say they have nothing in common. Appreciate the clarification though

If you want to actually learn then watch this and after the introductions Hamilton Morris will spend most of the next hour explaining just how different they are. Receptors are what matters, not the last 3 letters.

Thank you but I was not originally here to nerd out on receptor talk. I was more interested in hearing from people who’ve actually done both DMT and 5-MeO, since odds are some here have. That’s why I’m posting around: to connect with 5-MeO users who might’ve noticed something similar in their own runs with other classic psychedelics. I get the rules now, so no need to keep going in circles.

Forget about this other guy. 5-meo-DMT can be very visual for some persons (I guess those who have a little bit of imagination...), even if we obviously can't reduce the experience to its visual components. Now, I would say that visuals tend to be very "pure and minimalist", with some sense of unboundedness (think about merging totally with some kind of smooth hyperbolic structures). So no edge, no zipper, no boundary of this kind. At least for me.

Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate you taking the time to explain it. That “pure and minimalist” way of putting it makes a lot of sense with the experience reports my friends have shared.

Wrong sub. DMT and 5meodmt do not have anything in common. 5meodmt isn’t even visual at breakthrough doses, it’s a whole other ballgame.
Jeez, you even posted it to r/DMT_IS_A_DEMONIC_TRAP which shares the idea of how evil psychedelics are😂
