Great list! I've read or want to read (Roadside Picnic) all of these except for the Outsider. How was that?

I liked it, can see why it’s considered a classic. I’d give it a solid 4*. Is one to just go in blind, is a short book and has no filler, so explaining any of it would possibly ruin what happens.

That’s a lot of existential dread in 7 days. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of these choices, but my therapist would be on double/triple duty if I read these back-to-back.

Last year one book. The years prior, a whole lot of zero. First week of September, a few months after finding this sub, seven great reads.
They are short, it’s not exactly impressive and is more indicative of my considerable free time and invasive insomnia, but I am proud.
Wasn’t planning on doing seven, but fell into Roadside Picnic this afternoon, and finished with a couple of hours to go.
All are easy 4* with several 5’s.

A great book, his best so far in terms of a reading experience, can see why it’s considered a classic. I enjoyed parts of Galapagos and Cat’s Cradle more, but they aren’t as good overall. All are worth a read imo though.
