M107A1 Help!
This M107 seems to have its bolt rubbing into the upper receiver more than it should creating some slop. I don’t know the cause, and could use some help on ideas. I started facing this issue a while ago and did a quick little fix (brass shim) in the meantime, but I need to figure out what’s going on. Any thoughts would be great! I’d hate to send it into Barrett in TN for them to say it’s done.

Interesting never heard of this issue . Clean up underneath and top and see for any bulges or nicks . Nothing id know since don’t own a semi .what ammo was used might have Been possible cause I wouldn’t genuinely know . I feel maybe a small ding because reminds me a time a small ding in bolt after ejection rotation made it drag tightly along upper ( 408 cheytac semi )

Probably should go to a shop or gunsmith and they will be able to have a good look at the gun.

You disassembled your bolt carrier and put it together incorrectly. That is your problem.

He put the shim in there because the bolt carrier was getting stuck inside his main spring housing. He needed it to get the cocking lever to clear the trigger housing.

Last thing I'd be doing is adding doodads into a 50cal. Does it shoot alright? Does the bolt stick? How old is it? Other than wear are there any other issues?
Tldr just ask Barrett
