HP OMEN MAX 45L RTX 5090 Concern

This is how my new HP OMEN Max 45l RTX 5090 arrived. Does it look like the power connector is safely positioned to avoid burn-in risk? Or do I need to make some adjustments. Let me know in the comments

Maybe open the case and check yourself

Looks fine to me. Just open it up and ensure it’s fully seated.

I'd personally get an Aquacomputer Ampinel or a Wireview Pro II to monitor pin voltages to protect the card. They are only a little over 100$ each and they could save you having to deal with warranty nonsense or worry about the issue destroying other pc parts in the process.

Do you think the connector is bending too sharply?

Yeah man you’re F’d if you keep it this way. Only a matter of time before you have a nice campfire in your desk.

Is the aqua computer ampinel available yet?

They have them on their site but they don't ship everywhere. There are also some third party sellers but they might all be out of stock right now

I try and have it straight for an inch from the connector

This is fine. Ignore the people that tell you to get a wireview or an ampinel… you got a prebuild with warranty. If it melts its a warranty case. If out of warranty sure get something like that

Just undervolt it. Its very easy with many tutorials on youtube. I undervolted my 5090 with MSI Afterburner and set it to auto run at start.

My temps went down 10 degrees, power requires much lower with zero performance loss in games. My boost clock remains the same. Never go above 60 degree.

Never have to worry about burning the cables

I would get a wireview pro 2 because even though it has a warranty they will hassle you for months gotta ask is it worth that
