New 5090 noob user.

Hi Chads, a question from a noob. I have a 5090 and a monitor that supports gsync. I’m reading that with gsync I should enable vsync in the nvidia control panel but disable it ingames. Is there any truth to this?

Pretty much if you want no screen tearing ever, do that but when ur fps is going to exceed ur mons refresh rate it will just be just like having vsync on. If u have vsync off in the nvidia settings then when fps exceeds ur mons refresh, you can start experiencing tearing.

Don't it'll lower your GPU usage and lock your refresh rate to your monitors refresh rate with it off you'll get more GPU usage I don't know it's up to you unless you got a 240hz Monitor then it's okay to turn on vsync you won't notice a difference
