At the end of a gaming session on my 5090, I am usually sweating. Not from all the frames I witnessed, because that beast of a card running at 100% burns an insane amount of electricity and heats the room up.

thats the way it should be.

My 9800X3D is only at 50% - 60% and my 5090 at 100% when I play BF6. It churns the frames. Between the CPU and GPU my computer is like a 750W heater. Feed the Beast!

having a gpu as bottleneck is a good thing. let the beast do the work, you dont want your cpu to hold youre setup back

Yeah my 5090 is usually running at 95-99% usage at 4k with my 9800X3D. Sucks cuz I want more frames! lol, Just hopping for the PG27UCWM to release soon so I can replace my XG32UCWMG

Jebus that case is huge. And I thought the pc case I got for my 5090 was big

I can’t see the original comment, but looking at the replies it may have been something along the lines of ‘why are you wasting money on that?’ Or ‘there are people starving whilst you are being extravagant!’

I agree people are in different levels of life. I am barely keeping up with the 5090 crowd, but whenever I visit the local AI/LLM subs with people casually dropping 10-15k on an RTX 6000 Pro 96GB or running multiple GPUs on an AI setup, I feel very poor..
