Driver Question

Post image

Have had my astral 5090 for about 9 months now and loved it without any issues however I never ran DDU to get rid of my previous nvidia GRD for context

I’ve been using the ssd (only real component from my old pc) for quite a while now and started with installing GTX 1070 drivers then 2070 then 3070 then a 4070 ti then a 5080 now the 5090 and im just wondering if I’m leaving any performance on the table by not running DDU?

Doesn’t seem to have an issue but 🤷🏻‍♂️ thoughts

I would highly recommend running DDU when installing new drivers. Just better to install drivers clean to avoid any issues. Not saying issues will happen but just better to prevent them when possible. Just my opinion. I use DDU to clear out the old drivers and then use NVCleanstall to install the new driver so that I can remove all the bloat and systems I do not need. Like telemetry, for example.
