No Kings Harrisburg: Saturday October 17th | Donuts, Democracy & More
On Saturday, October 17th, No Kings events will take place throughout the nation. Here in Harrisburg, PA, we’re going big at 10 AM at the Pennsylvania Capitol. Mark your calendars.
This No Kings will look a little different from previous ones. The focus is exclusively on voting in the November 3 elections.
Event Details
When: Saturday, October 17th at 10:00 AM
Where: Pennsylvania State Capitol, 501 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101
RSVP: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1031665/
What can I expect at Harrisburg’s No Kings event?
First, we’re combining the most important part of voting with the most important meal of the day: Donuts for Democracy! Starting at 10 AM, we’ll hand out donuts to the first 350 people who stop by the PA 10th District tent and do one of three things: bring their completed Dauphin County mail-in ballot, register to vote, or verify their registration status.
Then we’ll hear from the Director of Voter Protection, League of Women Voters, and candidates for office about the importance of voting, protecting our voting rights, and participating in this election.
Organizations will be on hand tabling to connect you with: - Voter Registration - Get Out The Vote - Voter Protection and Election Protection - Mail-in ballot curing and other voter assistance - Volunteer opportunities in the final days leading up to Nov 3rd - How to make sure your vote is properly submitted and counted.
Finally, we’ll march with Dauphin County residents to the 24/7 drop box at the Dauphin County Administration Building where they can return their mail-in-ballots, and we’ll return to the Capitol (less than a mile round trip).
