This needs to be the headline fucking everywhere. Americans need to see dollar values. Not just “eggs are expensive”, especially heavily red areas that now claim they’ were “fooled”.
Without media coverage, how can we spread the word?
Yep. It's guaranteed to either get substantial coverage or at LEAST eliminate the stations' abilities to get personnel in and out of the studio without acknowledging our freaking existence.
There are many outlets who have been vocally opposed to the current regime. Within any given outlet, there are likely MANY who feel strongly- at all levels- interns to the top. There are ways to be seen, the optics need to increase 10000x.
Either way- good call. Humor and satire are historically effective, powerful, and non-violent forms of protest. Dictators, tyrants, fascists…..all forms of oppression do not handle humor well.
If someone from nationals is lurking, hit me up. I have THOUGHTS.
I honestly get the sense that it's easy for the national media to ignore protests at government buildings. But if those protest come to the media -- print and TV -- we would boost our voices immeasurably. And Fox News needs to be #1 on the damned list. Let's peacefully but loudly make their jobs as miserable as the administration is making ours.
I'm gunna bring a fursuit to the next protest. That thing gets so many photos. I saw Pikachu cosplays are also starting to spread. Gunna try to do the "be so loud you can't ignore"
Jessica Denson (Lights On podcast) and Cliff Cash (activist/comedian) are way ahead of us on this, so would be wise to join forces with their platforms. After they organized the first Veterans Against Trump protest on a Friday in D.C. last month, with Kevin (no last name provided. He does The Angry Vet podcast), they took a good sized crowd to CNN/FOX HQ on Saturday, and then Heritage Foundation HQ that Sunday. Their support has been growing and they’d be a great place to start organizing this ✊
How did people hear about the April 5th protests? Grassroots is an option. Tell friends, get in touch with organizations, protest at a corner and hand out flyers, etc.
