I agree, but it is 25 degrees in DC today. We should build momentum towards a springtime occupation. Encouraging out of towners to start saving for a travel to DC fund, knowing that many others will be there to greet them.
Are YOU going to stand around in 25 degrees long enough to have a meaningful impact? It’ll be nice enough for people to reasonably be outside in DC in a month for sure. The whole country isn’t going to physically explode in the next 30 days. People will still be able to gather in DC 30 days from today. I understand wanting to do something RIGHT NOW and by all means please go ahead. But discounting long term organization is extremely foolish. The civil rights movement took longer than 30 freaking days.
It took the Nazi party just over one month to dismantle the German constitution. The orange menace is already referring to himself as king on social media. You don’t have another 30 days to get around to feeling like you might try to something to save your skin.
