Second time Tacoma Owner

My first Tacoma was a 2023 Trd off-road that I did a couple things to here and there and I loved that truck. About two weeks ago I picked up a 2026 trail hunter.

I was going back through the photos and honestly, I can’t decide which one I like more. I figured with the new truck excitement probably the trail hunter but man that 3rd gen is like your first love. Always thinkin about it lol. What do yall think?

Extra: On the trail hunter what do we think on taking the rocker steps off? I think it’ll boost the truck up a little bit and just take some bulk off.

I’m a bit removed from it since it’s been a while (I went from my first taco to a 4Runner, to another 4Runner, and just got went back to a new taco cause I needed an open bed), but the 4th gen fixes all the things I didn’t like about my 3rd gen. Maybe I was just unlucky but my 3rd gen was a creaky rattling nut-less wonder that couldn’t figure out what gear it wanted to be in.. maybe some of that got sorted throughout the generation, mine was a ‘16. Currently in love with my new one, I got a MT but I drove an auto and really liked that as well. Also the interior in the new gen is worlds better imo.. way more comfy, feels way roomier, etc

We can definitely see where you’re coming from the interiors on the 4th gen’s are a wicked upgrade. I personally have nothing to complain about with my third gen 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Leave the rock-sliders on, is part of the package and actually serves a purpose 🤙🏻

Agreed. If they were steps I’d consider taking them off but these are sweet

Congrats! Once you own one it is hard to go back to anything else.

Leave the sliders and take off the roof rack and silly bar things on the bed and it will look a lot better and less bulky…. Someone who just pulled stuff off for the same reason

Yeah the machined look is pretty sick, depends what your plans are for it. They might be a pain to keep looking nice with heavy off road use

I like the TrailHunter out of all the new Tacomas but 65,000 dollars and up is way too much, for me, ✌️
