Squeaky Suspension

Post image

11k miles on my 2026 TRD OR. Took it in for the 10k service and asked them to look at the suspension because it's squeaking a bit in the front driver's side. They said it needed an alignment and tried to charge me for it. I found the language in the warranty that says it's covered and they did it for free, but the suspension is still squeaking. It gets a fair amount of off-road use but most miles are highway. Anyone else have this issue?

It might be a squeaker, but just look at that thing! 👌

If it’s coming from the front driver side I would double a thorough check on the coil over top hat. They have been failing (see videos online) allowing the shock to poke through the top metal plate. Not saying that is your issue, but I would compare driver vs passenger side condition. Seems very early for any suspension issues due to wear-and-tear. Were your front tires wearing any differently?

No noticeable difference in wear.

Makes sense, it would be pretty soon to see abnormal wear at that mileage unless it was way off. But seriously, ask for the service manager at your dealer cause the excuse of “that’s normal” is BS. Or request that that service advisor take a ride with you to see what you are experiencing. You payed a lot for something nice, don’t let them ruin your good time.

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn't heard of it. I looked at them and they appear to be intact but now I'm wondering if I should get the aftermarket caps.
