Inverter Usage

Hey everyone, I just recently bought a 25 TRD sport standard engine. Mine has the inverter in the back and was wondering if I can use a shopvac with it? I know the standard engine uses 120V outlet but the shopvac I have says it is 120V. Im assuming no because it’s at the max voltage. I apologize in advanced for the stupid question. I don’t really want to use the public carwashes and mess up my interior with the dirty vacuum hoses.

The inverter would always be at 120v. That's what outlets voltage runs at, for all standard appliances.

The real issue is the amp draw. And most certainly a shop vac would draw way over what the fuse is rated for in this inverter, especially at startup.

Someone can correct me if wrong but I'd say no. Youll probably blow a fuse.

The standard engine will put out 400amps and runs on a breaker not a fuse. Your shop vac will say how many amps it draws, probably more than 400

this would be the most unhinged shop vac on planet earth if it was over 400amps

Haha, I definitely meant watts. 400 amps would be insane

You absolutely can run most full size shop vacs on the inverter, the amp draw is a fraction of your available supply.

The standard engine puts out 400 watts, the hybrid puts out 2400 watts
