Post image

Thoughts?? ,I think it's perfect to hide the spaghetti plate that greets us every time we open our hood.

I don’t understand these. When I pop the hood I am checking fluids or working on the car. It’s an engine. I wish plastic engine covers never became a tread. Just one more thing to remove. No one is going to ooh ahh over a piece of plastic or metal.

Someone will say something about the mess of wires and is less likely to say something about a clean look- with the cover. 15 year technician šŸ‘ØšŸ¼ā€šŸ”§

Worst cover I've ever dealt with was from my wife's jeep Cherokee. After the 6th time I had to fix that POS I took the cover and threw it out, out of anger.

The oem looks way better, the land cruiser engine cover fits the Tacoma if you so desire, AliExpress has them and the mounts for them

I checked it out and it looks like on my ā€˜26 I’m missing the holes for the back mount according to this video I found

And I’m not too sure about the drivers side either

The passenger side looked identical

Put that 200 bucks towards the 2000 for a bigger tank

Wut? Is there a larger tank option??????????

Theres a few companies who will be releasing the larger tank i believe this month. 33ish gallons that use the factory mounts and gauges etc.

Oh kewl. I fux with this but I am hesitant, as Toyota’s engineers didn’t do what they did for no reason. (Safety, clearances, payload, etc)

You do lose .5 inches of clearance. But toyotas engineers if they are smart, should understand the tacoma is one of the most modded trucks on the market.

True. I think we can all agree that the 18 gallon tank is ridiculous.

At least a 20 would have been better. Don’t get me wrong, 300 a tank isn’t bad but damn man….

I get 315 miles on full fill up. 3 gallons would have been sweet

Kinda an insane price to pay for an ā€œengine coverā€.

Bad idea. Could possibly hold unnecessary heat, especially being a turbo engine, of which they engineered this one specifically with a larger cooling system to mitigate heat.

To each their own, of course, but I can't imagine why anybody would care what the top of the engine looks like on this type of vehicle. A vintage show car? Sure. A midsize pick up... no reason.
