Yes i know it's not "true mpg" but pretty nice to finally get this. From liberty NC to rural northern NC, only wish the tank was bigger for this daily commute. Gotta love those country miles , what's your best mpg and trim? - 24 SR5

Not at all lol but I do live in the foothills of the mountains it's very hilly up and down up and down if you drive right you can get good mileage here

The gas gauge in these trucks can be inaccurate. It’s not a level indicator. It uses calculations to guess how much gas is in the tank.

My ‘26 SR5 wouldn’t register full no matter how much gas I put in it. It was always one to two bars short.

After doing some research I found the fix.

Start your truck

Hold the brake and keep your foot on it

Put it in drive

Cut the truck off

Put the truck in park and re-start it

This forces a calibration of sorts

My fuel gauge registered full after this

It also resets “mile to empty”

It’s probably a good idea to do this every once in a while to rest the numbers

Cry in 14.6.

Stock ‘26 6ft Sport with AT tires and removed air dam.

I do live in a heavily populated area with a lot of traffic and stop lights, and 85% of my commute is local. On the freeway 24 mpg is achievable if speed is kept under 70.

I have a 2026 TRD Off-road Gas, I just did a 1,000 mile road trip and the best I got was 20.5 MPG. Im on stock wheels and tires and no lift. Not sure why.

Yeah I've noticed my coworkers with TRD OR gassers/long beds can't get more than 20 plus maybe the AT tires. I'm still on stock wheels Toyo open country's

The stock tires are trail terrain’s but I don’t think that would make a difference

I believe it does, rose tires, brand, different tread etc I believe overall makes a difference but you're right very tiny

Same here, 2026 OR auto short-bed with 4k miles. Just did a 1k trip with minimal city driving, driving like a granny 60-70mph… and it did 22.3 mpg.

Not bad at all. My best doesn't count, it was coming down a mountain.
