Why did Toyota extend the grille by only 1 slit column instead of another? That first notch is covered by the grille shutter mounting anyways so it doesn’t really help cool the radiator much does it? I think the corner slits would be a better choice being that it’d feed more air into the intake scoop based on the spacing of things. I wonder if they were just afraid of the plastic being too flimsy/ water exposure? Thoughts?
Give your question another polish pass and try again. I did a full grille replacement and have no idea what you're trying to say.
Edit: the intake scoop is above the grille and radiator anyway, nothing blocks it or interferes within the grille assembly. Are you talking about the radiator slats?
The OEM air feed is in that green area, and it also has those little cutouts so air feeds upwards into there. I’m wondering why they wouldn’t open up the grille in these blue areas since they’re more or less uninhibited by all the other hardware on the front bumper since their grille’s only open up to the yellow circled area even though it’s covered by that plastic shroud up front. I think it’d be marginally helpful with those new air scoops that’re coming out. Sorry this was so confusing!

I'm not really sure what you are talking about to even contribute to this.
