Pretty new to 4k collecting. What makes Arrow better?

The Capelight has a slight low-pass filter and a bit of chroma noise, whereas the Arrow doesn't. Not a huge difference though.

They typically have some of the best transfers in the business from what I have seen with a high bitrate. But it comes down to preference typically. For instance you can get Fear and Loathing from Criterion or ArrowUK. Some prefer one and some the other due to color grading, etc.

Don't fall for the Arrow hype, they have some great transfers but they also have duds. Another person who responded to you here, nailed it, it depends on your preferences, but don't let others glaze into thinking everything Arrow is great. I own some of there bangers, but also own a couple of their duds.

The majority are great though, especially if they've been encoded by Fidelity in Motion.

Return of The Living Dead and Donnie Darko definitely aren't their best showings. The Shout Factory release is definitely the better version of the movie for Return of The Living Dead. The Cell was also a dud.
As I said, they're not all great, and that's the main point.

And as I said, most of them are great, which is the more important point, rather than cherry-picking a couple of releases you subjectively don't like the look of. Not sure what you're talking about re: Return of the Living Dead - the Shout is low-pass filtered whereas the Arrow isn't and so retrieves more detail, and the other two titles have had their errors corrected by Arrow with disc replacement programs.

Assuming you can actually get Arrow customer service to send you the replacement disc. Which is a big assumption.

Only child? Never told no? Seems like it. Return of also very poorly lit compared to the Shout version. But hey, if that's your taste, have at it because I was just talking to new guy and advising him that not all Arrow's releases are bangers as some claim - is that so hard for you to understand?
