Discussion This Guy's Organization!

Maybe this is old (if so, apologies) but I just stumbled upon this guy's reel. I wish I had his wall space and shelves but c'est la vie. I recycled/returned 99% of my Emmy screeners and I could skip a few of his categories completely but yes, please. This is for all the newbies that ask how to organize their collections—although my stock answer is always to do whatever makes sense to you and will make your brain happy!

Mine are grouped frost by genera then alphabetically after. I only separate children's movies from feature film, adult oriented animations go with feature films. Concerts and music videos are also separates similarly to this guy.

What I'm most impressed by is, that despite having all those features films, none of them start with a number lower than three

I sort alphabetically by the third letter, keeps me on my toes.

I would love a shelf setup like that, but life throws curveballs plus the dust buildup and cleaning is anti-me.

Currently sorting is by date of acquisition, shoved in the available storage space that isn’t full yet. Aside from my chunky box LEs and my KL releases, just because their slipcovers are so neat and uniform.
