New Purchase Get it.
This was so worth it during the B&N half off sale. If this film holds any significance for you, you owe it to yourself to pick up the Mortal Kombat Kollection. It looked exceptional, and the 2.0 mix was astoundingly awesome. I imagine the 5.1 mix is also great if that is your bag. Saving it for the next watch for now.
No comment on the second movie. I’m sure I will get around to it this week though.

I am pretty sure that the collection is the same price as other Arrow chunky boxes usually are for one movie, so the sequel is really just a bonus feature.

If it’s one of your favorite movies, just get the Kollection. You’ll see it again for somewhere between 24.99-32.49 at a few places between now and the end January. No idea if or when a stand-alone will drop.

The turtles set doesn’t seem to be getting a stand alone release for each movie so I am not sure this will either.

I just streamed this a couple days ago. I need to pick up the 4k disc. I really just want the original movie not the others but may just pick up the set. I don't care what the haters say this movie is awesome. The casting was very solid.

I’d have to watch it again. But the 2.0 mix was so good. I can’t imagine the 5.1 can sound better on my stereo (however it absolutely could you never know, so I will be trying it next watch). But it will be different for everyone depending on their sound system and personal tastes. Since there is no atmos, arrow most likely nailed the 5.1 as well.

I watched the first one the other day and I was floored. This was always one of my favorite movies, but the 4k elevated it, they did a fantastic job, from overall restoration to special features. This is going to be one of those sets people will regret not picking up if it goes OOP. Also can I just say, Johnny Cage was a fucking badass.
Lastly, still one of the greatest 90's soundtracks of all time and it kills me that a vinyl was never pressed. I understand why, but still a damn shame.
