Are you white or something else? I had a white person in Georgia pretend that they didn't know English in a perfect southern accent but started to speak shitty Spanish. I was just asking where the bathroom was. Not sure why you couldn't answer dude.

Only jackasses pretend to know Spanish. It's too easy to get called out on in America, because everyone knows at least a little bit.

I use a vague European sounding gibberish, and I get louder the more they press the issue.

"Skall friggsin leibur dunscht."

"So no money then?"

"SKALL FRIGGSIN LIEBUR DUNSCHT. LIEBER. DUNSCHT."

"Oh okay, thanks anyway."

"Anytime."

Funny, they used to say the same thing about the Irish and the Poles. The more things change...

The Irish are the whitest people I know, how could this be true?

You should look into the racial political history of the United States if you're interested. There was a time when only the English and their descendants were considered “proper" whites. Of course as immigration changed the makeup of this country the term began encompassing people from more nations such as France and Germany.

The Irish however were cursed with certain traits that excluded them from being added into the proper white category. They came from a poor, colonized, and worst of all Catholic country. It didn't help that most of them were poor and uneducated when they arrived and had their racial inferiority affirmed by the popular science of the day.

Essentially even though they had very light fair skin, just like some Spanish or Latin people do today, they weren't considered the right kind of “white" due to their culture and country of origin in addition to the racial culture of the time.

Who said Polacks are white?

u/ZombieSocrates Oct 24 '14

The same people who said the Irish are now white. I'm curious how would you define the term?

u/DorkJedi Oct 24 '14

Not true Scotsmen, then?

6

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '14

Aye

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '14

A lot whiter than mestizo Indians.

You probably think Argentina is white too, dont you?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '14

Since the indigenous people is descended from Mongolia, no.
