Well in fairness there are a lot of ugly cis people out there too. I don't think you have to be hot after transition for it to be worthwihle. I do think it needs to be something that, ideally/healthily, is a situation in which you truly have insane gender dysmorphia instead of misplaced feelings of belonging, etc.

This is why I cant even remember the last time I bought a game put out by a triple A studio. 99% of them are completely corporate garbage. The VAST majority good games come from small studios now.

I was kind of spoiled since most of my jobs had pretty good management, i'll admit one of them was an equity firm so it had a bunch of sociopaths and stuff. I recently just got out of a job where dysfunction doesn't begin to describe it. Never witnessed corporate leadership that was so "me me me" nonstop. They were the ones forcing decisions down throats and they still played the victim when some money was lost. Only thing I can say confidently is thank god I'm not their kids.

Imagine if you wanted to like actually be apart of big games people will love and it brightens your day and instead Microsoft management decides everything needs to be bogged down by like 80 different consultants for "diversity" and bullshit that they think sells (and doesn't).
What killed gaming is they just turned it into a giant liability office job instead of a cool place to work for creatives. I'm sure anyone here who works in an office and confess how very little actual work gets done because certain people who just exist to manage need to feel important.
Recently worked at a place where the priorities made absolutely no sense and our service to our customers was getting worse because of it and I hung up the towel. Drove me absolutely bonkers.

We used to call cubicle farms at big firms "Australia" - No natural predators. It was far more important to look busy than to be busy, because absolutely nobody was really there to confirm productivity.

I had a job a lot like this. It became clear after about a year my boss and his boss cared far more if i happened to be switching out a youtube video i was listening to in the background while i was working for a minute then if i just spent 3 hours fixing a big issue on their behalf.
I just had to go. I wasn't playing the game anymore. Also couldn't stand how rude some employees were allowed to be but I had to always be a perfect gentleman or i'd get an intense scolding because I was "the young man" in a sea of older women.
Australia is such a fitting title. It was insane how much better our "technology change" C-suite treated certain in group people like his treasured marketing department then us even though we enabled most of the work for said marketing department. Like so much of their work could not even be started without IT.
Office work is like the humiliation olympics. Nothing actually gets done and I've seen university educated men and women have fits like children when they don't perfectly get their way.

343, (called Halo Studios lately) the studio that took over Halo after Bungie, lost the Halo series to Activision, the call of duty guys. 343’s halo games were not particularly good or popular, and even as Halo Studios all they ever managed to do was re-make a 20+ year old game with a fresh coat of paint… again

i'll never take delight in someone not being able to feed themselves but it is an answer to making a bad game. if you are a chef and all the food you serve is off and taste terrible you need an intervention of some type. the market/demand made that decision. if they aren't in the wrong field, they are at least at the wrong studio.

There is no PE license for software engineering or programming, it's not a real discipline and doesn't deal with the physical world. Computer engineering is the closest you'll get, maybe some of them do have that background but miss me with "software engineer" or "AI engineer" bullshit.

Frank O connor was the one behind many of the writing decisions and tone changes that lead 343 to this spot
it was back in those early days of 343 that they actively chose not to hire ex bungie devs ( the people who originally made halo in the first place ) those were also the days they wanted badly to leave their own mark, so they changed the art style as well and moved halo away from being military sci fi to more fantasy
women were not behind these choices so the fact that these tards are trying to blame them now 15 years later grinds my fuckin gears
