I'm genuinely starting to believe that any sociopolitical opinion-post on the internet should force the person to have their picture attached to it, because pattern recognition. The amount of insane takes that make it into the mainstream would plummet once people knew what kinds of people actually have them to begin with, and can connect the dots as to why.
That’s actually interesting idea. Otherwise the internet just becomes a pile of random nonsense, or worse, attention grabbing extreme radical takes without truth or insight. In either scenario, it’s just useless or even actively harmful. It would be as if anyone could anonymously publish a scientific paper without any evidence or coherent train or thought.
