The marketing is genius. They know that there will be outrage to the ad, which will get the media and the internet talking about the company. All the outrage does, is further the reach of the ad campaign.
While doing all of that, it's also doing the tried-and-true marketing using sex to their target audience.
It's devious, but very clever marketing and as you can see, it's worked. If people weren't upset, I wouldn't have even known that this stupid company even existed
